About Julia

Julia is the foremost Certified Lebed Method Trainer in the UK and Europe and has been providing instructor trainings across the country since 2007. Julia qualified with the first group of UK instructors at the Royal Brompton Hospital in 2005.In March 2007 Julia went to the USA to study with Sherry Lebed Davis and train to become a teacher trainer for The Lebed Method (CLMTA).

Julia is an international presenter and has worked in cancer and palliative care for over 15 years. She co-authored Palliative Care and Reflexology; Hodkinson/Williams Clinical Reflexology: Mackereth and Tiran. In 2009, Julia gave presentations at national and international healthcare conferences, and was a keynote speaker at the Lebed Method Instructors Conference in Chicago in March 2009.

Julia’s experience as a teacher and trainer combined with her love for music and dance come together in The Lebed Method providing an uplifting way to assist clients with cancer, lymphodema and other life-threatening conditions with focussed exercise in a safe and fun environment.

Julia has been in practice as a natural health therapist since 1990. She teaches yoga and has taught diploma and CPD courses in aromatherapy and reflexology for many years in adult education in London.

Julia set up new services for homeless people, the elderly and alcohol addiction, also women and children groups. She has facilitated support groups for clients affected by cancer and the isolated elderly and currently works with cancer and palliative care patients. Julia was integral to establishing the complementary therapy department at University College London Hospital Haematology Directorate where she worked for 6 years. For the last 5 years Julia has worked in palliative care providing therapies to patients and carers in addition to teaching yoga and The Lebed Method. Julia also teaches TLM at Breast Cancer Haven.

Julia lives in South East London and has a private practice for complementary therapies. She provides both one-to-one and small group courses for CPD and provides Lebed Method trainings throughout the UK.
